I wasn't planning to do another post on fall foliage again, but the color has been so extraordinary this year and has been much longer lasting than previous years I just couldn't help myself.
We didn't have to travel very far to view nature's beauty. These were all taken in the county where I live.
Oh.....I want this old cabin!!!
A carpet of leaves. Autumn is such a beautiful time of the year. Please don't leave!
Tunnel through the trees.
I don't know what it is about old barns but I just love them. Maybe it's the nostalgic feeling I get when I reminisce about the time spent on my grandmas farm.
The more weathered they are the more charming. If barns could talk just think of the stories they could tell.

Great fall pics!I agree leaves are prettier this year.My sister has told me about your blog and just didn't take time to check it out before now,but it's great!I will definitely be following you!You have the same interests that I do.I too LOVE to hike in the mountains or anywhere. We were to Shenandoah Nat'l park this summer and was awesome to hike thru those mountains!I love looking for wildflowers and try to figure out what kind they are.We have been to cades cove and hiked some in the Smokies too.Absolutely great!Another place that we love to hike is the North Country trail in the Upper Peninsula of Mich. There's a lot of wilderness up there and we don't see hardly any people.Very remote place and beautiful!I'm sorry to keep rambling...I think we could talk for a long time if we had a chance!your recipes look so good too.I will check those out too.I have a nature blog and an art blog too,but nothing as good as yours!
ReplyDeleteHi Marlene. I'm not sure who your sister is but welcome to my blog. I would love to visit yours too if you send me the link. I have never hiked in the Shenandoah's but if it's anything like the Smokies I would love it too. I'm always stopping to look at the wildflowers too and take pictures. Fortunately I have a very patient husband:) I'll be doing more posts on the Smokies as I have time.
DeleteStunning!
ReplyDeleteThose photos are beautiful. That's the kind of driving around I enjoy. Just looking at all the beauty of the area. You definitely live in a beautiful area.

Went to Wooster this morning for a Dr. appointment and alot of the trees were still beautiful. I have never seen this much color in our area and much brighter then ever before. We have alot of reds that we normally don't have. The colors were bright like that starting up Dolly Sods and Spruce Knob ( highest point in West Virginia.) At the top the leaves were done. We saw so much beauty on our trip. Our drive home was absolutely gorgeous. Helen and I thought the guys should be stopping all the time. We ooohed and aaahed our way home. Drove 1997 miles on our fall trip. So much fun. Giving thanks to God for painting our area so beautifully and for giving us an appreciation for the beauty He created.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice trip. I enjoyed this fall more than I have in a long time. I think God gave us this gorgeous fall to make up for the hot dry summer we endured. Oh....that's right....that's the kind of weather you like:)
DeleteIt was the bestest summer. I know, that's not proper wording, but it expressed my feelings better. Loved, loved, loved this summer.
