Flowers in my Garden

Since it's been so hot, humid and dry  I have lost the mood to do much outside. Other places in the area have had nice amounts of rain but it seems it always misses us. So I haven't taken many pictures the last few weeks but here are a few I had not gotten around to post yet.
Peony Poppy

Queen of the Prairie

Bee Balm

Larkspur

I tried for years to grow Larkspur with little luck. A few plants here and there. This year it came up like crazy! Underneath all that is my Rudbeckia struggling to grow. I just didn't have the heart to pull it out after trying so hard to get it to grow. Wonder what will happen next year. I just cut it off and I could hear the seeds go flying.

Hydrangea
Zinnia
Hummingbird Moth on Butterfly Bush

Poppy
Echinacea
Can You tell I like pink flowers?

Butterfly Weed

My butterfly weed looks out of place among all my pink flowers but it doesn't like to be moved so for now it stays where it's at.

  2. This has been a trying summer for certain but all I have to do is think of winter coming and I shut my mouth. LOL!
Your flowers are looking wonderful. I love the Queen of the Prairie and planted two this spring but they have struggled to get going.Your Larkspur is so pretty. I have the same problem with some seeds here. I have tried to grow poppies for years and yours are so lovely.Hopefully we will all get some rain this weekend.
