Wade and Gatton Hosta Garden Part 1

I know this is kind of the wrong time of the year to be doing this post but I love hostas and have been wanting to visit this place http://wadeandgattonnurseries.com/hosta close to Bellville Ohio. Finally this past spring I had the opportunity to go. I can't wait till next year to go again! This could become a yearly event:)  They have several thousand varieties of hostas.
Oh my, how do you decide which ones you just have to have? It wasn't easy!

This one is growing on a rock. I don't know how it can survive.

To be continued.

  1. Beautiful Hostas! I also collect them but few compared to what you have. Will have to do lots of photos next year of them. I just love them. I also am in Ohio and your new follower. Stop by when you have the chance.

  3. okay Pearl I just found you. In 2007 a divorce forced the sale of my home and all my beloved Hosta Gardens. Several years ago, I visited Wade & Gatton and thought I have died and gone to heaven. It was a good days trip, I would overnight after the drive, arrive early at the nursery, and just spend all day touring and taking pictures of all the beauty. It was wonderful, more than the eye could behold. I still do not have somewhere to call my own yet, in order to restart the passionate love I have for Hostas.
